Precision Railroad Components Company

The Challenge: A $3B US rail manufacturer with existing JVs in China considering a new investment needed operational and technical due diligence results they could count on.

The Solution: The Nicobar Group worked with client executives to understand their specific areas of concern regarding the potential foundry investment and define success for the engagement. Experts within the Nicobar Group then joined forces with Chinese domain experts to form a due diligence team that audited the target firms production capabilities and detailed record keeping. Our analytical team sampled and tested material (raw, in-process and finished goods) to check conformance with detailed specifications. Nicobar also met with local governmental officials and experts to understand the plans for infrastructure expansion in the region as the client required. The final report gave a detailed assessment of the JV partner�s suitability.

The Result: Informed by the detailed analysis provided by the Nicobar Group, the client was able to make a sound business decision about the potential investment.
